DEPRESSION IS OFTEN MASKED BY OTHER SYMPTOMS, SUCH AS:
- A persistently low mood
- Tearfulness
- Lack of energy or chronic tiredness
- Trouble getting to sleep or staying asleep
- Increased levels of anxiety
- Difficulty concentrating or making decisions
- Loss of appetite or overeating
- Feelings of helplessness or hopelessness
- Recurrent thoughts about death
